Sydney Uni HC today officially announced its new sportswear partner, Salming. The Swedish company, founded by ice hockey legend Borje Salming, is one of the most dynamic and innovative players in the market and has made waves particularly with its X-Factor indoor shoes. Salming has got a massive presence in floorball and handball throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

Apart from Sydney Uni, Salming also sponsors handball clubs in Spain’s Liga Asobal, in Sweden and Norway – and has got Spanish top players Antonio Garcia Robledo, Rafael Baena Gonzalez and Niko Mindegia Eliza under contract.

Sydney Uni officials expressed how proud they were to be in such good company, and said that Salming’s engagement in Australia is a massive contribution to further growing handball in Australia. While the SUHC squad has been training with Salming shoes and balls for a few months – with players raving about the quality of the equipement – the IHF Super Globe will be SUHC’s first appearance in the new kit.
