Our men’s team has emerged victorious at the Australian and Oceania championships in Canberra, securing their place as the Oceania representative at the International Handball Federation Club World Championships in Egypt this September. This monumental win, marked by an intense final against the University of Queensland Handball Club, underscores our club’s legacy of excellence and determination.
Road to Redemption: Achieved
After a grueling season and an unwavering commitment to reclaiming their title, our men’s team clinched the championship with a thrilling 23-20 victory over UQ. This victory is a testament to the team’s resilience and hard work, marking a significant comeback after last year’s third-place finish. Leading the charge was Takumi Inada, whose exceptional performance earned him the MVP award, showcasing his skill and leadership on the court.
Women’s Team: A Silver Lining
Our women’s team also shone brightly, securing the silver medal after a fiercely contested final against UQ. Despite the narrow loss, their journey throughout the tournament was nothing short of inspiring.
